On August 26, the world's largest single-tower single-span steel box girder suspension bridge constructed by MBEC--Yunnan Yuxi-Chuxiong Expressway Luzhijiang Bridge was successfully opened to traffic.

?Luzhijiang River Bridge is the key control project of Yuxi - Chuxiong Expressway, located at the junction of Yimen County and Shuangbai County, spanning the Luzhijiang River, the bridge is 798 meters long with dual-way four-lane, the design speed is 100 km/h, both banks are directly connected with the tunnel. Luzhijiang River Bridge as the country's first single tower single span steel box girder suspension bridge, but also set a number of the world's most, 780 meters of the maximum span of the bridge to become the world's largest single tower single span suspension bridge.

Yunnan Yuxi-Chuxiong Expressway is an important part of Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway and Yunnan Provincial Expressway Network, with a total line length of 190.467 km. After opening to traffic, it will end the history of Shuangbai County, Chuxiong Prefecture without expressway and realize the interconnection of surrounding counties and towns.
